Launch Trailer (October 15, 2026)
Dropped without warning 35 days before release, the Launch Trailer focuses on Jason and Lucia, adds more of Jason's army past and ends with the date: November 19, 2026. Read our full Launch Trailer breakdown.
An Extended Look (August 27, 2026)
The biggest GTA VI reveal so far: almost 27 minutes of footage “captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5”, which premiered on Netflix on August 27 at 3 p.m. ET before landing on YouTube at 9 p.m. ET. Netflix reported 31.1 million views in four days, making it the platform's most-viewed title that week.
It also gave the clearest look yet at how GTA VI plays. According to Rockstar North's Rob Nelson, the wanted level now goes up to six stars, and on-screen icons show exactly what the police know — your face, your clothes, your car, and whether Jason and Lucia are together. Police only respond to crimes that are witnessed or trip an alarm, and swapping cars removes the car from their description.
Official Cover Art Reveal (June 18, 2026)
A short video unveiling the official box art, released a week before pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026. See our price and editions guide for what each edition includes.
Trailer 2 (May 6, 2025)
Released days after the first delay was announced, Trailer 2 introduced the wider cast and the six regions of Leonida, set to The Pointer Sisters' “Hot Together”. Meet the characters in our Leonida map and characters guide.
Trailer 1 (December 4, 2023)
The reveal that broke YouTube view records: Lucia in prison, Vice City's beaches and Florida-style chaos, all to Tom Petty's “Love Is a Long Road”. It was planned for December 5 but went live a day early after the trailer leaked online.
